Tahj Mowry Tahj was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Mowry family lived in Texas before moving to Los Angeles, where Tahj now makes his home. With his successful three year run starring in the hit television series "The Smart Guy", this talented entertainer knows a thing or two about comedy.
As a toddler, his mother/manager Darlene would take him along to the set with his older twin sisters, Tia and Tamera Mowry, who starred in the hit comedy series “Sister, Sister.” At the age of four, Tahj began working in commercials, and he proved to be such a natural in front of the cameras that he soon was in heavy demand. Tahj made his tv acting debut guest starring on “Who s the Boss?” and later played a recurring role for four seasons as Teddy, friend of the Olson twins, on full house. He has also guest starred on Friends, Sister Sister, and countless others. In addition, he has voiced characters for Disney’s animated series “Aladdin” and “The Lion King”, among others.
Tahj is currently a regular on the animated series “Kim Possible” with the character role of Wade on the Disney Channel. Tahj also starred in Disney television movies Hounded, Poof Point, and Showtime movie Seventeen Again. Tahj also was recently in the feature film: Are We done Yet, sequel to Are We There Yet, where he played the lead role of Danny Pulu starring alongside Ice Cube and Nia Long. A gifted dancer, Tahj performed live on the Academy Awards telecasts under the choreography of Debbie Allen where he danced alongside the now famous choreographer Wade Robson. He has been in numerous music videos for artists including Michael Jackson and has danced in music videos for Prince and Mariah Carey.
He is also no stranger to theatre. He is a tremendous singer and performer and starred in the Musical Twist, which was a black version of Oliver Twist where he played the title role of Twist in Philadelphia at the Walnut Street Theatre. After every show, Tahj would get a standing ovation for his amazing singing, dancing, and acting abilities during his performance.
In 2003 he left Hollywood to play football on a scholarship at Savannah State, and then to the University of Wyoming. He came back to California after a year when he realized he had missed his first love, entertainment. Tahj continues to go to college at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California part-time and is majoring in advertising.
Now 21 years old, Tahj is pursuing a new music venture and is currently working on recording his album and getting a label deal.
